THE Sundrop SCHOOL develops resilient, thriving children by nurturing their innate passion for learning, independence, and the natural world.

The Sundrop School is based in Roscommon, Michigan, and serves children age 3 to 6 years old in its Preschool and Full Day programs. It also offers an after school care program to children age 3 to 11 years old from 3:15pm to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday.

The Sundrop School maintains that children are complete beings who are naturally driven towards learning, independence, and interest in the natural world. Our philosophy is rooted in respect for children, deep appreciation for the early childhood years, and the knowledge that children develop at their own individual pace.

Sundrop has been an incredible adventure for our daughter. We felt so sad that our plans for preschool when she was 3 were canceled due to COVID restrictions. Her only year of preschool before starting kindergarten could not have been a better experience. Every day she comes home happy, full of stories, gushing about her friends and teachers and anxious to show us what she learned in school that day. When we have kept her home due to illness she has begged us to send her anyway so she "wouldn't miss out on all the fun". We could not be happier with our decision to attend Sundrop!
